I did promise that, along with fiction and non-fiction pieces, I would share news of projects from time to time. I am pleased to say that today is one of those occasions, as Docu Magazine have kindly chosen to publish a collection of my photos in a special edition of their mag.
The issue is available to buy here: https://docu-magazine.com/vol-1/declan-andrews/
You can also delve into my photography further at https://declanandrews.co.uk/photography/
I’ve also decided (on a sun-induced whim) to add two features to Thursday’s non-fiction posts, which will accompany the main piece going forward.
Firstly, say buongiorno to ‘The Devil’s Advocate’ section, where I’ll float a speculative or contentious idea.
Secondly, ‘The Thoughts of Others’ section, which will very simply consist of a quote from someone else that I find insightful, and hope you might too. Don’t fret though, I’ll still be spawning aphorisms from time to time.
The Devil’s Advocate
- The Trust Rush. As AI gets better at generating artistic content, there will be increased demand for works that were created by humans before AI was able to compete. After all, for those who favour human-made art, there will increasingly be a trust problem. In contrast, older works will effectively be above the shadow of doubt that is cast over newer creations. Driven by the scarcity principle and a desire for trusted sources, this will lead to a gradual uncovering of overlooked works of art from the past.
The Thoughts of Others
